Weekend at Respingo Hill

Respingo is the highest point in Panama, its only 700Mts less than the Volcan Baru. This means it gets COLD. Make sure you prepare accordingly.

This is an amazing place to be at, surrounded by lots of wildlife, mountains and one of the most amazing views -if not the best one- in Panama.

Back in the 70’s, this used to be a farming spot for a wealthy family, until they decided not to do it any more. Its not a protected area inside the Volcan Baru National Park.

About the weather:

Weather here is the coldest you will find in Panama, we strongly recommend to bring the following:

• “Thick” blankets
• Good coats
• Nice sleeping bags
• Gloves socks and hats to protect you from the cold
• Waterproof jackets just in case
• Flashlights
• Your food & booze
• Umbrella is you are to visit during rainy season.

Since the house is not furnished, we advise visitors to bring the following:

• Sleeping bags.
• Air Mattresses
• Phone Chargers (power generator runs for 2-3 hours)
• Power Banks
• NOTE: only Movistar works up there, no other cellphone provider.
• Lighter (matches or any type of fire, for the chimney.
• NOTE: Pets allowed.

As for the requisites:

• Minimum Pax: 4 People.
• Additional person has a 50.00 USD Cost.
