Scuba Diving Portobello

Portobello is only 1 and a half hour away from Panama City, on the Caribbean Sea with great views, the historic city and much more to offer.
You will be picked up at your hotel by one of our drivers and taken to Portobello, where you will be taught what you need to know before you get in the water.

Say you are a couple, want to hang out over the weekend and chill on a beach while experiencing something nice. Scuba diving is your bet.

The type of dive you do depends on your skill 🙂 If you are certified, you will do two dives, and you will be able to go up to 60 feet in depth, which will start at around 10:30 am, while if you are not certified, you will be able to make only a single dive the first time you do this, and you will be limited to 30 feet in depth due to security concerns, this is a must, no way around it, which is known as the “discovery dive”.

Each dive takes about 50 minutes long, after which you will be given a few beverages, the ones you chose, depending the length and depth of the first dive,  so will the duration of the “break” lasts. The rule is, the longer you stay under, the longer the break for the second dive is. Again, this is just for your own security.

Comes  the second immersion. This is a 1 hours lapse where you will get to experience all marine life at its best in the Caribbean sea, at approximately 28 degrees C. once you are under water.

If you are concerned about a wet suits, please be aware the water is at around 28-30 degrees Celsius.

When purchasing a diving package with us, you are purchasing a “photo package” too, where we will provide you with photos and/or videos of your experience so you can share it with friends and family as well.

When at diving, you will experience seeing eels, rays, a great variety of fish, among many others. No spear fishing is allowed.

After you are done, you will be taken back to the city and you will arrive back at the city between 4:30 PM and 5:00 PM.
