Fishing Tour at Cebaco Island

It is a well known fact that almost all fishing activities take place on the Pacific Ocean.

Isla Cebaco is located southeast of Panama, specifically south of the Azuero Peninsula. It has a total area of about 80Km2 and its the third largest island in our country, third only to Isla Coiba and Isla Rey.

Being at about 15K west from the Azuero Peninsula, this is a great spot, close enough that getting there is no big deal, and not costly at all, but far enough to keep its natural magic and beauty.

The biodiversity at Isla Cebaco is simply outstanding, not to mention its marine animal life. Just around the island you will be able to encounter Mackerel, Dorados (Mahi Mahi), Wahoo, Mero, yellow tail Tuna and a great variety of Pargo, these are to name a few of them.

Fishing takes place around Cebaco Island and/or Punta Naranjo.

More from our Pacific ocean you can experience while in Panama

Day 1: Departure 7:00 AM

This tour takes place on the Pacific Ocean, this means we depend on mother nature (Tides). That being said, depending on when you are interested in going there, we would need to confirm the departure time to better accommodate you. Normally we leave at around 7:00AM

Day 1: Arrival at Playa Rey.

The trip from Panama City to Playa Rey, takes approximately 4:30 hours, after arriving there, the boat will be waiting for you. Board and take off.

Day 1: Arrival at Isla Cebaco (Cebaco Island)

After 5 hours of traveling, you are here. Welcome cocktail will make sure you get off to a great start and get you in the right mood for this trip.

Have some Lunch

Yes, food will also be waiting for you upon arrival. After 5 hours on the road/boat, you will probably be starving. We got you covered.

Your First Day

Cebaco Island has many things to do, you can simply hang our in the hammocks, enjoy the beach, do some snorkeling, or if you are not tired, take a walk....the island is big enough to enjoy all this.

Day 2

Wake up, get some breakfast and get ready to go fishing. We do not have a pre-planned schedule, in order to give your group the chance to plan this yourselves. If you want to start fishing at 10, this would be perfect, otherwise, we can accommodate your needs.

Lunch

The best thing to do is to talk to the staff about what time you are planning to have lunch. This is included, most likely would be server after your fishing trip. After you take your lunch, hopefully you will want to relax and prepare for the ride back.

Island Departure

Again, we highly encourage visitors to coordinate with the staff, on what is the best schedule to exit the island, remember we depend on the tides most of the time.

Return To Panama City | End of tour.

Once you arrive at Rey Beach (king beach), your ride will be waiting for you and you will be taken back to Panama City.
